The town of Sosúa is located in the province of Puerto Plata about
10 km east of the airport of Puerto Plata.
Sosúa has a large and beautiful beach (Playa de Sosúa)
and is since the 1990's attraction for tourists from
North America and Europe.
Sosúa consists of three parts: El Batey (tourist center),
Sosúa Abajo and Los Charamicos. You as well find here
gated communities for international residents.
The road „Calle Pedro Clisante“ is famous
for its nightlife with Salsa and Merenge music in the
the different bars.
Along the Calle Pedro Clisate are also a variety
of restaurants offering internatinal cuisine.

The park is namend „Parque Mirador Sosúa“.
The park was created in honor of the Jewish
Community in Sosúa. The Jewish pioneers who came in 1939
ang later to Sosúa founded schools, a hospital, a library, hotels,
a supermarket, a meet processing business and infrastructure.
In the Parque Mirador regularly different events take place.
